Each of these locations can be visited in one day, but it will be a very rushed and long day. If possible, I highly recommend spending the night in these areas. You will receive information on how to book your transport, hotels, and, if you’re interested, guided tours as well.
Seaside escapes
Hua Hin is a charming seaside town in Thailand, known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant markets, and rich cultural heritage. Relax on Hua Hin Beach with it's long sandy shore perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports.
A busy tourist hotspot celebrated for its lively nightlife and adult entertainment. The city offers a range of attractions such as water sports, golf, shopping centres, and theme parks, with lively beaches like Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach. In a huge expat community, English is commonly spoken.
Located off the coast of Si Ratcha in Chonburi province, this island is the closest to Bangkok. Before visiting the island, a great attraction to check out is the Khao Kheow Open Zoo, where you can see MooDeng, the famous pygmy hippo. The island's big attraction is Phra Chudadhuj Palace, which was the former royal residence of King Chulalongkorn.
Jungle escapes
Khao Yai, located just a few hours from Bangkok, offers a refreshing escape with its cooler climate and stunning natural beauty. Home to Thailand's third-largest national park. Enjoy many activities, from hiking to tasting wine at the vineyards, all while savouring delicious Western cuisine readily available in the area.
Explore forests, waterfalls, enjoy hot springs and river rafting. This park is a perfect escape for nature lovers, from monkeys to elephants. Great for seeing wildlife or simply relaxing in tranquil surroundings.

Historic escapes
Ayutthaya, a historic city in Thailand, was once the capital of the Kingdom of Siam from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Renowned for its impressive ruins. Today, Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting visitors with its majestic temples, such as Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Mahathat.
Kanchanaburi is a picturesque province in western Thailand, known for its stunning natural beauty and rich historical significance. Home to the famous Bridge over River Kwai you can follow the trail of this railway to the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, which commemorates the hardships faced by POWs during World War II. There are also two museums in Kanchanaburi's town itself and a war cemetery.

Damnoen Saduak Market is a vibrant floating market located in Ratchaburi. Vendors sell fresh produce, local delicacies, and handicrafts from traditional boats.
Maeklong Market, on the other hand, is a market that operates directly on the railway tracks in Samut Songkhram. As trains approach, vendors swiftly retract their awnings and merchandise, only to set them back up once the train passes.
Moo Deng, the adorable baby pygmy hippo, is stealing hearts and taking the internet by storm! With her playful antics and charming personality, it's no wonder everyone is falling in love with this little bundle of joy.
